Sanjeev Arora receives Guard of Honor in Ludhiana, vows boost to industry investment and NRI services

Ludhiana (Punjab), July 4, 2025: Punjab Cabinet Minister Sanjeev Arora received a Guard of Honour at Circuit House during his first visit to Ludhiana after being appointed Minister for Industry & Commerce, Investment Promotion, and NRI Affairs.
A warm welcome was extended by Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders, workers, and citizens from diverse backgrounds.
Addressing the media, Minister Arora thanked AAP National Convener Arvind Kejriwal and Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann for their trust in him.He pledged to prioritise industrial growth and investment attraction across the state, ensuring timely resolution of all pending and emerging industrial issues.
He announced that the long-pending demand for an industrial exhibition centre in Ludhiana is being actively pursued, with land identification underway. He also assured that such initiatives would contribute significantly to increasing the state’s tax revenue.
On the much-awaited Halwara Airport, Arora confirmed that the project is complete and operational readiness has been achieved. The airport is now awaiting final clearance from the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) before it can be formally inaugurated.
Regarding NRI affairs, Arora revealed that a departmental review meeting is scheduled for the upcoming Tuesday to improve service delivery and resolve NRI grievances promptly.
Commissioner of Police Swapan Sharma and Additional Deputy Commissioner (Rural Development) Amarjit Bains were also present during the reception.
