BSF holds Diamond Jubilee Outreach Program at border village Govt High School
Ferozepur, November 2025: The Border Security Force (BSF) commemorated its Diamond Jubilee by organising a special outreach programme at Chak Ghubai URF Tangan Government High School, Changa Khurd, as part of its nationwide campaign “A Mass Campaign of Institutional Outreach.” The event was held from 10:30 am to 12:15 pm and aimed at educating students and teachers about the BSF’s pivotal role in national security.
During the session, BSF officials highlighted the force’s dedication, operational responsibilities, and its key contributions during critical national operations, including the Indo-Pak Wars of 1971 and 1999, and Operation Sindoor. The programme featured an informative address, screening of a documentary on the BSF, and an exhibition showcasing weapons used by the force.
The event was graced by Sh. B.N. Raut, 2IC of 158 Battalion BSF; Insp. Krishan Chander, Officiating Company Commander of D Coy; along with three SOs, including Insp/G Anil Kumar Thakur, and 15 other ranks.
From the school, the Principal, nine teachers, and around 150 students participated in the interactive awareness session.
BSF officials briefed students and staff on the importance of border management, vigilance, and the sacrifices made by BSF personnel in safeguarding the nation’s frontiers.
Expressing gratitude, Principal Mrs Shivani Monga thanked the BSF for enlightening students about national security and instilling a sense of responsibility towards the nation.
