Chandigarh, November 21, 2025: The Punjab Government has reinstated PPS officer Jagatpreet Singh, who had been under suspension since June this year on charges of grave misconduct and dereliction of duty. The reinstatement order was issued on Friday, stating that he would rejoin service with immediate effect, though the ongoing departmental proceedings against him will continue.
According to official records, Jagatpreet Singh, then serving as SSP Vigilance, Ludhiana, was suspended on June 6, 2025
In the fresh order, the Home Department clarified that the reinstatement is “without prejudice to the outcome of the ongoing departmental proceedings.” This means the inquiry into earlier allegations will continue independently of his return to duty.
