He categorically denied reports of any tussle between the Akal Takht and the Punjab government, calling such narratives “totally false.” Highlighting his role as Punjab’s sevadar, Mann added that his government’s focus remains on the welfare and progress of the state.
He also submitted 25,000–30,000 pages of complaints to the Jathedar Sahib regarding anomalies in the functioning of the SGPC, requesting a thorough investigation.
On the Special Investigation Team (SIT) constituted to trace missing saroops of Sri Guru Granth Sahib, Mann clarified that it was a strictly administrative move, not political, and assured that all actions would follow Sikh Rehat Maryada.
The Chief Minister expressed gratitude for receiving important books on Sikh Rehat Maryada and the Gurdwara Act from the Jathedar Sahib and reiterated, “Every order of Sri Akal Takht Sahib is acceptable to me. My family and I abide by it fully.”
