AAP Punjab celebrates Kejriwal acquittal, calls verdict ‘Victory of Truth’

Chandigarh, February 27, 2026: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab unit erupted in celebrations at its Chandigarh office after a court acquitted party national convener Arvind Kejriwal, senior leader Manish Sisodia and others in the alleged liquor policy case.
Party leaders and workers gathered in large numbers, dancing to the beats of dhol and performing bhangra while distributing sweets to mark what they described as the “victory of truth and honest politics.” The atmosphere at the party office remained festive for hours following the verdict.

Senior Punjab ministers including Harpal Singh Cheema, Aman Arora, Hardeep Singh Mundian and Harjot Singh Bains joined party workers in celebrating the court’s decision.
Addressing the gathering, party leaders said the judgment reaffirmed public faith in the judiciary and dismissed what they termed as politically motivated allegations against AAP’s leadership.
They asserted that the verdict has further strengthened the party’s commitment to governance focused on education, healthcare and public welfare.
