Chandigarh Press Club to elect new office-bearers on March 29

Chandigarh, March 23, 2026: The Annual General Body meeting of the Chandigarh Press Club, held on Sunday, March 22, 2026, has fixed March 29, 2026 (Sunday) as the official polling date for electing the new office-bearers for the 2026-27 term.
Mr. Vishal Gulati has been appointed as the Returning Officer for the elections, with Mr. Virendra Singh, Mr. Parvesh Kapur, and Ms. Nisha Sharma serving as Assistant Returning Officers to manage the election process.
All members have been instructed to clear outstanding dues—including Annual Subscription, Welfare Fund, and Kitchen/Bar bills—by March 24, 2026, 11:00 pm to remain eligible to vote. The list of members with pending dues is displayed on the club notice board.
As per election guidelines, from March 22, 2026, onwards, all food and beverages in the club will be served only via cash or debit/credit card payments, a measure that will remain in effect until the election process concludes.
The Secretary General, Rajesh Dhall, has requested all members to cooperate fully during the election period.
