The Punjab Government’s Health Insurance Scheme, which provides free medical assistance of up to ₹10 lakh to eligible beneficiaries, has emerged as a major relief for the common people of the state. This initiative is particularly beneficial for low-income and middle-class families who often struggle to bear the expenses of expensive medical treatments for critical illnesses. Thanks to this scheme, people can now access quality healthcare facilities without the burden of financial stress.
Parmjeet Singh Pammi Kotfatta, Chairman of the Primary Cooperative Agricultural Development Bank, Bathinda, highlighted the importance of this initiative during a recent statement. He described the scheme as a revolutionary step in the healthcare sector, which is not only saving lives but also improving the overall quality of life for the beneficiaries.
According to him, thousands of patients suffering from severe illnesses such as heart diseases, cancer, and kidney-related problems have availed free treatment under this scheme and have been given a new lease on life.
In his remarks, Pammi Kotfatta emphasized how this scheme has become a blessing for families who previously had to take loans or forego treatment due to high medical costs. The financial burden on families has significantly decreased, and there is now greater awareness about health and wellness among the people.
Encouraging eligible individuals to take advantage of the scheme, he urged them to obtain their Ayushman cards or relevant documents to access these benefits. He assured that the government is making every effort to ensure that this facility reaches every deserving individual and that no one is denied access to necessary medical care.
Pammi Kotfatta also lauded the Punjab Government for consistently introducing welfare initiatives aimed at improving the lives of people across all sections of society. He expressed optimism that this health insurance scheme would continue to yield positive results in the future and serve as a milestone in improving public health in Punjab.
Pammi Kotfatta further said Punjab Government’s Health Insurance Scheme stands as a proof to its commitment to public welfare and healthcare accessibility. It has not only alleviated the financial strain on families but also fostered a sense of security and well-being among the citizens.
