New Delhi, March 26, 2026: Power distribution companies in the national capital have appealed to residents to participate in Earth Hour this Saturday by switching off non-essential electrical appliances from 8:30 pm to 9:30 pm.
Discoms, including BSES Rajdhani Power Limited and BSES Yamuna Power Limited, have partnered with WWF-India to support the global environmental campaign.
This year’s theme, “Give an Hour for Earth,” encourages citizens to dedicate one hour to the planet and adopt sustainable habits. Officials said the initiative aims to raise awareness about energy conservation and inspire long-term action towards environmental protection.
Residents have been urged to join the effort and contribute towards a greener, more sustainable future.
