GNA University students get first-hand aviation exposure at Amritsar Airport

Amritsar (Punjab), April 8, 2026 – The Airports Authority of India (AAI), Amritsar Airport, hosted a group of undergraduate students from GNA University as part of the Ministry of Civil Aviation’s Aviation Career Guidance Program.
The initiative offered students an immersive, day-long experience into the world of aviation, encouraging them to explore career opportunities in the sector.
Students pursuing degrees in Airlines, Tourism, and Hospitality participated in the program, which began with a detailed presentation on the airport’s operations, infrastructure, and growth.
This was followed by a guided tour of the passenger terminal, where they observed key processes such as check-in, security checks, and boarding procedures.
Airport Director Bhupendra Singh and Kaushik Dutta addressed the students, highlighting diverse career opportunities in aviation, including air traffic control, engineering, airline operations, and management.
A major highlight of the visit was an exclusive tour of the Air Traffic Control (ATC) Tower, where students gained insights into runway operations and the critical role of ATC in ensuring flight safety. The interactive sessions allowed students to engage directly with professionals and clarify their career aspirations.
