Academic Support Group meeting focuses on strengthening quality education

Ferozepur, April 22, 2026: A significant meeting of the Academic Support Group - ASG - was held at SPRS Model School under the chairmanship of District Education Officer (Elementary), Sunita Rani, to review and strengthen the implementation of quality education initiatives in schools across the district. District Resource Coordinator (DRC) Subhash Chander was also present during the meeting. The primary objective was to ensure effective execution of educational schemes and enhance learning outcomes at the school level.
During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on the implementation of 'Mission Samarth 4.0' under the quality education framework. Emphasis was laid on ensuring its proper execution in all schools. Directions were also issued to make the monitoring and observation process more effective and result-oriented.
The DEO stressed the need for continuous improvement in the quality of education in every school. The 'Vidya Pravesh Programme', aimed at strengthening foundational learning among students, was also discussed at length, highlighting its importance.
Key issues such as preparation of target charts, adherence to timetables, and level-based grouping of students were reviewed. The use of supplementary material and workbooks was also assessed, with a focus on making them more impactful for students’ learning.
In addition, the condition of school libraries and the distribution of books were reviewed. Strict instructions were issued to ensure transparent and efficient utilization of grants allocated for quality education.
Morning assemblies, along with regular checking of students’ notebooks and workbooks, were emphasized as essential components of the learning process.
Officials were encouraged to perform their duties with dedication to ensure delivery of quality education. DRC Subhash Chander further directed that random checks of Mission Samarth 4.0 assessments be conducted and reports be uploaded on the concerned app in a timely manner.
