Police deployed outside SAD office in Patiala after arrest of Akali workers

Patiala (Punjab), May 26, 2026: Tension was reported outside the Shiromani Akali Dal office in Samana town of Patiala district after police personnel arrived at the premises following the arrest of several party workers.
Police forces surrounded the office area, leading to a verbal confrontation between police officials and Akali workers gathered at the spot. Several leaders and members of the Youth Akali Dal were also present during the incident.
As per information party workers questioned the police action and raised slogans outside the office premises, while police personnel remained deployed in the area to maintain law and order.
The exact reason behind the arrests was not immediately known, and no official statement had been issued by the police or the Shiromani Akali Dal till the filing of this report.
