Punjab MC Polls: 31.6% voting recorded till 12 noon

Chandigarh, May 26, 2026: Punjab recorded 31.6 per cent voter turnout till 12 noon in the ongoing Municipal Corporation and Municipal Council elections across the state on Tuesday.
Polling for the civic body elections began at 8 am and is continuing amid security arrangements at polling stations. Earlier, 13.5 per cent voting had been recorded till 10 am.
Voting is being held for eight Municipal Corporations, besides several Municipal Councils and Nagar Panchayats across Punjab. The polling process will continue till 5 pm.
