Amritsar (Punjab), June 13, 2026: The newly formed Cockroach Janata Party staged a protest at Golden Gate in Amritsar on Saturday, with party founder Abhijeet Dipke accusing the Centre of neglecting student concerns and demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
Addressing supporters, Dipke alleged that flaws in the education system and mounting academic pressure had adversely affected students across the country. He called on young people to unite and raise their voices for their rights.
The protest, which drew a gathering of students and activists, was held under police supervision with security arrangements in place. Dipke warned that if concrete action is not taken on student-related issues, the party would intensify its campaign with a nationwide movement planned later this month.
The demonstration comes amid growing political attention on the activities of the CJP, which has recently expanded its presence through protests in multiple cities.
