Ferozepur Railway Division loads 194 container rakes in April-May, records 3.7% growth
Ferozepur, June 13, 2026: Ferozepur Railway Division has achieved a significant milestone in container freight loading through the continuous efforts of its Business Development Unit (BDU) under the guidance of Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) Sanjeev Kumar.
The division recorded loading of 194 container rakes during April and May 2026, registering an increase of around 3.7 per cent compared to 187 rakes loaded during the corresponding period last year.
The growth in container loading has not only enhanced the freight traffic of the division but has also contributed to increased railway revenue. Regular meetings with stakeholders, better coordination and improved services have helped strengthen the confidence of traders in railway freight facilities.
With economical, time-bound and door-to-door transportation services, the Railways continues to attract more customers towards freight movement. The achievement reflects the efficient functioning, coordination and customer-friendly approach of Ferozepur Division, which is continuously working to promote freight transportation and provide better services to its customers.
