In a major grassroots outreach initiative aimed at strengthening the Congress Party's connect with the people, Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (PPCC) President Amarinder Singh Raja Warring on Sunday undertook an extensive tour of several villages in the Gidderbaha Assembly constituency, where he addressed a series of public meetings and interacted directly with residents to understand their concerns and aspirations.

Raja Warring along with other leaders visited Kotli Ablu, Malan, Wara Kishanpura and Butter Sree in the Gidderbaha constituency.

The day-long programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from farmers, youth, women, labourers, traders, and senior citizens, who gathered in large numbers to share their issues with the PPCC chief. Raja Warring patiently listened to the grievances of the people and assured them that every genuine concern would be taken up with the concerned authorities and highlighted at every appropriate platform.

Addressing the gatherings, Raja Warring said that the Congress Party has always believed in staying connected with the people and understanding their problems firsthand rather than relying solely on official reports.

"The strength of democracy lies in listening to the people. My visit is not merely a political programme but an opportunity to understand the everyday challenges faced by our farmers, youth, women, traders, labourers and every household. The Congress Party will continue to stand shoulder to shoulder with the people and raise their voice with sincerity and determination," Raja Warring said.

He emphasized that public representatives have a responsibility to remain accessible and accountable to the people at all times.

"Real leadership begins by listening. We are here to hear your concerns, understand your expectations and work collectively towards finding lasting solutions. Every issue raised by the people deserves attention, and I assure you that we will pursue these matters relentlessly until justice is delivered," he added.

During his interaction with villagers, residents highlighted several issues affecting their daily lives, including the need for improved rural infrastructure, better road connectivity, uninterrupted drinking water supply, quality healthcare facilities, employment opportunities for educated youth, better educational institutions, support for farmers, irrigation-related concerns, and timely delivery of government services.

Raja Warring carefully noted the concerns raised by the residents and assured them that these issues would be taken up before the concerned government departments. He reiterated that public welfare must remain the foremost priority of every elected representative and political party.

Speaking on the importance of continuous public engagement, Raja Warring said that political leadership should remain connected to the grassroots rather than limiting interactions to election campaigns.

"Our villages are the backbone of Punjab. The progress of the state depends upon the prosperity of rural communities. We want governance that is responsive, transparent and sensitive to the needs of ordinary citizens. The Congress Party remains committed to protecting the interests of every section of society and ensuring that the voice of the common man is never ignored," he remarked.

He also urged party workers and local Congress leaders to maintain regular contact with the people, promptly address local concerns, and strengthen organizational activities at the village level. He said that the Congress Party's ideology has always revolved around public service and inclusive development, and every worker must strive to uphold these values.

Throughout the tour, Raja Warring received a warm welcome from villagers, who appreciated his initiative of personally visiting rural areas to interact with people and hear their grievances. Residents expressed hope that such direct engagement would help bring long-pending local issues to the attention of the authorities and contribute towards their early resolution.

The meetings also served as an opportunity for local residents to discuss developmental priorities for their respective villages. Participants stressed the need for improved civic amenities, stronger support for agriculture, enhanced employment opportunities, better public infrastructure, and effective implementation of welfare programmes.

Raja Warring assured them that these concerns would continue to be raised vigorously in the larger public interest.

The PPCC President reiterated that the Congress Party would continue to organize similar outreach programmes across Punjab to ensure continuous dialogue with the people and to formulate policies based on the aspirations and needs of citizens.

The village outreach programme concluded with Raja Warring thanking the residents for their overwhelming participation and valuable suggestions.
