Railway holds cycle rally, volleyball match with focus on cleanliness and Zero Waste protocol
Ferozepur, September 25, 2026: The Ferozepur Division of Northern Railway organised a cycle rally and a volleyball match on Friday as part of the ‘Swachhata Hi Seva-2026’ campaign to promote cleanliness and create awareness among the public.
The sports activities were organised by the Divisional Sports Association, Ferozepur, under the chairmanship of Senior Divisional Sports Officer Rahul Dev. Senior Divisional Commercial Manager/Freight Paramdeep Singh Saini, Assistant Divisional Sports Officer Acharaj Gupta, Divisional Sports Secretary Sunil Kumar, along with railway officers, employees and their family members, participated enthusiastically in the activities.
The cycle rally was organised from the Railway Officers’ Club to Muktsar Road. A volleyball match was also held as part of the campaign. Through these activities, railway personnel and their family members conveyed the message of cleanliness and environmental awareness to the public.
According to the division, the activities aimed to promote environmental awareness, physical fitness and sustainable practices. The ‘Zero Waste’ protocol was followed during all activities, followed by a cleanliness drive at the conclusion of the programme.
The Ferozepur Division appealed to railway employees, their families and local residents to actively participate in the campaign and make cleanliness an integral part of their daily lives.
