Breaking: CISF head constable opens fire, kills 4 colleagues including an officer

Kathua, September 30, 2026: A CISF head constable opened fire in camp and killed 4 colleagues including an officer.
According a report of NDTV, this incident occurred at CISF camp in the hills of Basohli at the Sewa Power Project. Before opening fire head constable had heated argument with them.
Report said that the incident took place around 6.40 pm at the CISF unit deployed at the Sewa Power Project in Mashka village in Basohli.
It is worth mentioning here that the Sewa Power Project is a hydroelectric power station located in the village on the Sewa River which is a tributary of the Ravi.
Deceased have been identified as Assistant Commandant Ankit Kumar Pandey, Sub-Inspector Lakshman Singh, Constable Rafiq Ahmed and Constable Sandeep Kumar whereas head constable has been identified as Avdesh Kumar Singh.
