Washington DC (US), October 4, 2026: US President Donald Trump has announced the formation of a Super Intelligence Force (SIF), saying the new body will coordinate the federal government’s efforts to ensure the United States maintains its leadership in “super intelligence.”
Trump made the announcement in a post on his Truth Social account, following what he described as a “Historic White House Accord on Super Intelligence” involving major technology companies.
According to Trump, the SIF will coordinate the federal government’s engagement with consumers, public interest groups, religious organisations, critical infrastructure providers and companies working in super intelligence.
He said the initiative is aimed at protecting the interests of Americans and improving their lives, while maintaining US leadership in the rapidly developing technology sector.
Trump said the force would be led by Director of National Intelligence Jay Clayton, Federal Trade Commission Chairman Andrew Ferguson, Under Secretary of War for Research and Engineering and Chief Technology Officer Emil Michael, and Office of Personnel Management Director Scott Kupor.
The SIF will report to Trump and White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles, according to the President’s announcement.
Trump described super intelligence as a technological development that could be bigger than both the Industrial Revolution and the internet.
