Aman Arora visits Salemsah Gaushala, lauds efforts for 650 cows
Fazilka, October 6, 2026: Punjab Cabinet Minister Aman Arora visited the Government Gaushala at Salemsah village in Fazilka district and appreciated the efforts being made for the care and upkeep of around 650 cows housed there.
Fazilka MLA Narinderpal Singh Sawna was also present during the visit. Arora interacted with the gaushala management, volunteers and workers and took details of the arrangements being made for the welfare and care of the cattle.
The minister was informed that around 650 cows are currently being looked after at the gaushala. Besides the gaushala staff, local residents and concerned officials of the Punjab Government are also extending their support for their upkeep.
Arora said that serving and caring for animals was a noble cause and urged people from all sections of society to contribute to such initiatives.
Cabinet Minister also interacted with members of the public present at the gaushala and listened to their problems and demands. He assured them that their genuine issues would be taken up with the concerned departments and necessary action would be ensured.
Arora said that the Punjab Government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, was working for public welfare and the overall development of the state. He highlighted various welfare initiatives, including free electricity up to 300 units, healthcare services through Aam Aadmi Clinics, quality education through Schools of Eminence and free travel for women in government buses.
Fazilka MLA Narinderpal Singh Sawna directed the concerned staff to ensure that there was no negligence in the care of the cattle. He said any problem should immediately be brought to the notice of senior officials. He also appealed to residents of Fazilka and social organisations to come forward and contribute towards the upkeep of stray and abandoned cattle so that better facilities could be provided at the gaushala.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development) Jagwinderjit Singh Grewal, BDPO Lal Singh and employees of the Government Gaushala were also present.
