MOGA, October 13 ,2020 - Paddy procurement is in full swing in district Moga. Due to which thousands of people continue to come and go in the mandis every day. Taking full advantage of this opportunity, the district administration has decided to conduct sampling of farmers, Arhtiyas, labourers and others in the mandis. Therefore permanent "Corona Sampling Corners" have been set up in 8 major mandis of the district during paddy procurement.
Disclosing this here today Deputy Commissioner Mr Sandeep Hans said that the mandis in which these "Corona Sampling Corners" have been set up include Moga, Dharamkot, Baghapurana, Kot Ise Khan, Fatehgarh Panjtur, Nihal Singh Wala, Badhni and Ajitwal. Apart from this, the teams of the health department would also go to other mandis for regular sampling. Adequate sampling arrangements are being made in these "Corona Sampling Corners". The health department has been asked to deploy teams here. The basic facilities in these corners are being provided by the Mandi Department. It may be mentioned here that this time the government procurement of paddy would continue till November 10, 2020.
Mr Sandeep Hans said that while intensifying the efforts for eradication of Corona pandemic from all over the world, the officials of Health Department have been directed to ensure that farmers, labourers and other people must be sampled so that everyone can be saved from this terrible disease.
Mr Hans said that there was a need to make the mission Fateh launched by the Punjab government success and save as many people as possible from this disease. He directed the health authorities as well as other authorities to sensitize the people for sampling.
