Sunil Gupta Gets Three-Year Extension as Vice Chairman of Punjab Economic Policy & Planning Board

In a significant move, the Governor of Punjab has approved a three-year extension in the tenure of Sunil Gupta, Chartered Accountant, as the Vice Chairman of the Punjab Economic Policy and Planning Board, with the rank and status of Cabinet Minister.
According to the official notification issued by the Department of Planning, Gupta's extended term will be effective from August 24, 2025, and will continue till August 23, 2028. He will continue to serve under the same terms and conditions as outlined in the government order issued earlier on August 23, 2022.
The notification was issued with the approval of the Chief Minister of Punjab and signed by Jaspreet Talwar, IAS, Additional Chief Secretary, Department of Planning.
