Chandigarh records maximum COVID deaths in a day – 13 with 724 new cases
Chandigarh, April 30, 2021:
Chandigarh reported 724 new COVID-19 positive cases on Friday. 13 deaths due to COVID were also reported in the last 24 hours, which is maximum toll in a single day so far. Notably, the city witnessed 32 deaths due to COVID in the last three days.
As per the information released by the health department, UT Chandigarh, the total number of active cases in Chandigarh stands at 6,906.
In the last 24 hours, the department has tested 3,204 samples. As per the figure, 478 deaths have been reported in Chandigarh due to COVID-19 to date.
Likewise, the total number of patients who have tested positive to date stands at 42,647.
