- Amritpal seeks UK citizenship to escape Indian law: Report

  Chandigarh, March 24, 2023: Fugitive Amritpal Singh has filed an application for United Kingdom (UK)citizenship. This application was filed in the month of February.
  
  According to a News 18 report, he has sought UK citizenship on the basis of his marriage to UK citizen Kirandeep Kaur.
  
  Intelligence agency sources said that Amritpal Singh's application is pending with the British authorities and no decision has been taken on the matter yet.
