A news is being aired ona news channel that Amritpal Singh was ready to suurender but under certain conditions put before the Punjab police.
Punjab police clarified that the news is totally fake.
"This news is factually incorrect. Request to fact-check news before sharing and urge all citizens not to spread fake news, " said Punjab police in its statement.

Notably, a day after posting video on social media, Amritpal Singh also issued an audio on Thursday that also went viral within minutes. In this audio, whose authenticity is yet to be checked, Amritpal himslef also said that news of his surrender before the police are fake and baseless. He also said that he neither put any conditions before the police nor communicated with the police. He again reiterated that Akal Takht Jathedar should call Sarbat Khalsa on occasion of Vaisakhi to unite the Sikh Kaum. "I have never put any conditions before the police to surrender. The information being spread is totally false. I am not afraid of going to jail," he said in his audio message.
Amritpal also said that his health was not well following which he was looking weak in the video.
On the run for 12 days and counting, radical preacher and 'Waris Punjab De' chief, Amritpal Singh, on Wednesday released an unverified video of himself, calling on the "Sikh sangat" to come together if they want to "save" Punjab.
The fugitive leader said in the video that he was not under police custody. "I am absolutely fine and nothing can harm me. As far as the arrest is concerned, it is in the hands of the Guru," the fugitive Khalistani leader said.
