Amritsar, April 5, 2023:
On convening of the Sarbat Khalsa on Baisakhi at Takhat Damdama Sahib, the Dal Khalsa leader Kanwar Pal Singh said the timing and ground situation is neither conducive nor appropriate to convene it.
Declaring their plans at a party headquarters at a press conference, the party leadership said that after the gathering under the nomenclature of Sarbat Khalsa was held at Chabba in November 2015, there was a vertical split in the community. Today Sikhs are a divided house and divisions are at all level be it political, social or religious levels, hence in such a fluid situation calling of a Sarbat Khalsa may further create controversy and divisions. Amritsar: Dedicated to the Sikh National Day also popularly called as Khalsa Sajna divas, the Dal Khalsa has resolved to take out a Khalsa March and hoist the Sikh flag reminiscent of the Sarkar-e-Khalsa followed by a political conference on how to achieve Azaadi through plebiscite nder the UN.
Paying homage to 13 martyrs of the faith, who were killed by neo-Niarnkaris on 13 April1978 will be paid and Ardas for the release of Political prisoners will be performed at Takhat Kesgarh Sahib.
President of Dal Khalsa Harpal Singh Cheema said the Hindutva government at the centre, along with the Punjab government has unleashed terror on Sikh youth, built a climate of fear by detaining scores of youth under NSA and lodging them far away from home state. He, however, said state’s onslaughts on Sikhs won’t deter their resolve to continue with their struggle for AZAADI from Indian hegemony.
Dal Khalsa on security operation & crackdown :
Dal Khalsa is of the firm belief that with an eye on the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, the present dispensation led by Narendra Modi has cleverly pitted the rest of India against the Sikhs by engineering a volatile situation in Punjab, portraying Sikhs as a threat to national security and who deserve baton, bullets and prisons.
This design by the Union combined with Punjab government has been crafted and executed to keep Punjab on boil and we expect the coming times to spring more dangerous surprises in the run-up to the polls, observes Dal Khalsa leadership.
Unquestionably, the entire Bollywood style operations in Punjab was planned by the National Security Advisor team to show to the rest of India that Punjab was likely to slip out of India's hands and their timely action has saved it from the Khalistanis, said party leader Kanwar Pal Singh.
There’s no threat to peace in Punjab. The move to create a rift between religious communities living in Punjab has no impact on cordial relations between Sikhs and Hindus. The disruption to peace is in fact by the state as it still sees everything as a law-and-order problem and not as a conflict which needs resolution said party spokesman Paramjit Singh Mand.
Dal Khalsa on Punjab govt and police:
Gen. Secy. Paramjit Singh Tanda and coordinator Jasbir Singh Khandoor lambasted CM Bhagwant Mann for falling into Amit Shah’s trap. He termed CM as spineless person. He said the state government and police administration must see through the deeper design of the central agencies, who are doing biddings of Modi government, before unleashing terror and repression on youths of the state.
