Sri Guru Granth Sahib World University extends support to Leprosy patients, their families

Fatehgarh Sahib (Punjab), November 24, 2024: University School of Law , Sri Guru Granth Sahib World University organized a compassionate visit under the patronage of Prof. (Dr.) Pritpal Singh, Vice Chancellor where students extended support to leprosy patients and their families in Khanna. During the visit, the students distributed blankets, groceries, and other essential items to the patients and their families.
This act of generosity aimed to provide warmth and necessary supplies, ensuring a tangible impact on the lives of these individuals facing challenging circumstances.
The interaction also provided students with a firsthand understanding of the realities faced by individuals affected by leprosy, encouraging empathy and community service.
Prof. (Dr.)Sukhwinder Singh Billing, Dean of Academic Affairs appreciated the students and faculty members, commending their dedication to social responsibility. The initiative was led by Amrit Pal Singh and Sandeep Kaur, Assistant Professors, under the guidance of the Department in charge, Dr. Navneet Kaur.
She expressed pride in the Department's collective effort, noting that such charitable activities reflect the core values of the University School of Law and its commitment to meaningful social outreach.
The visit concluded with an expression of gratitude from the families and patients, who felt seen and supported through this thoughtful gesture. This initiative highlighted the importance of social empathy and community service as integral parts of legal education and personal growth.
