CM Nayab Saini in Ludhiana Kashyap Samaj event: Promises extension of Haryana Welfare schemes to Punjab

Ludhiana (Punjab), May 3, 2026 – Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, while addressing the “Maharishi Kashyap Jayanti Samaroh” organized by the Kashyap Samaj in Ludhiana, urged the people of Punjab to support the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the upcoming Assembly elections, promising that all welfare schemes currently being implemented in Haryana would be extended to Punjab as well.
Chief Minister Saini said that the BJP believes in inclusive development and assured that a BJP-led government in Punjab would ensure that welfare initiatives reach every section of society without discrimination.
He also stated that the doors of the Haryana Chief Minister’s residence are always open for the people of Punjab, adding that any issue related to them or their families would be addressed with full support and priority.
Paying tribute to Maharishi Kashyap, CM Saini described him as a great social reformer and said the Kashyap community has a proud historical legacy, citing figures such as Nishad Raj, Bhakt Prahlad, and Bhai Himmat Singh, one of the Panj Pyare of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji.
He lauded the Kashyap community as hardworking, courageous, and self-respecting, and said they have a significant role to play in the development of society and the nation.
Highlighting Haryana government schemes, CM Saini said special focus has been given to backward classes and underprivileged sections under the vision of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas.” He added that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has strengthened social justice by giving constitutional status to the Central OBC Commission and working towards a developed India by 2047.
The Chief Minister further appealed to voters in Punjab to support the BJP, alleging that the current Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government has failed to fulfil its promises.
Several dignitaries including Anup Bhardwaj, Baldev Raj Kashyap, Sukhdev Singh, and representatives of the Akhil Bhartiya Kashyap Rajput Kalyan Society were present on the occasion.
