Punjab CS launches state-of-the-art Milkfed Vending machine at Civil Secretariat
Verka Products, Lassi, Juices and Ice Creams to Be Available Through Hi-Tech Machines Across Punjab

Chandigarh, May 12, 2026:Punjab Chief Secretary K.A.P. Sinha on Tuesday launched a state-of-the-art vending machine of Milkfed Punjab at Punjab Civil Secretariat-1 in Chandigarh to expand the outreach of Punjab’s cooperative sector and modernise consumer access to dairy products.
The ultra-modern vending machine will dispense Tetrapack flavoured milk beverages, lassi, fruit juices, mineral water, ice creams and other products of Verka, Sohna and Five Rivers brands in a consumer-friendly and hygienic manner.
Speaking on the occasion, K.A.P. Sinha said the initiative is aimed at strengthening the cooperative sector in line with the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann and making Milkfed products more accessible to consumers.
Milkfed officials said more such vending machines, including dedicated ice cream vending machines, will soon be installed at high-footfall public places such as government offices, airports, district civil secretariats, colleges, malls and other public locations across Punjab.
The event also witnessed the unveiling of “Guddi”, the new girl companion of Verka mascot “Veera”. Officials said the initiative reflects the brand’s message of gender equality and Punjab’s family-oriented cultural values.
Ajit Balaji Joshi, Secretary Cooperation-cum-Chairman Milkfed Punjab, said the organisation is focusing on futuristic and consumer-centric expansion under its Vision 2026 programme.
Registrar Cooperative Societies Punjab Girish Dayalan reiterated the government’s commitment to strengthening the cooperative movement and ensuring better returns for dairy farmers while supplying quality products to consumers at affordable rates.
Milkfed Managing Director Rahul Gupta said the federation is expected to achieve an estimated turnover of around ₹7,250 crore during FY 2025-26, recording a growth of nearly 13 per cent over the previous financial year.
