Supreme Court designates 7 former High Court Judges as Senior Advocates

New Delhi, May 22, 2026: The Supreme Court of India has designated seven former High Court judges as Senior Advocates with effect from May 20, 2026.
According to an official notification issued on May 21, the decision was approved during a Full Court Meeting held on May 20 by the Chief Justice of India and judges of the Supreme Court.
The former judges designated as Senior Advocates are:
- Justice Babu K., former judge of the Kerala High Court
- Justice Debabrata Dash, former judge of the Orissa High Court
- Justice Khwairakpam Nobin Singh, former judge of the Manipur High Court
- Justice Mahboob Ali, former judge of the Allahabad High Court
- Justice N. Nagaresh, former judge of the Kerala High Court
- Justice Shrikant Dattatraya Kulkarni, former judge of the Bombay High Court
- Justice V.G. Arun, former judge of the Kerala High Court
The notification was issued by Registrar (CDSA) Devender Pal Walia on behalf of the apex court.
