Ferozepur, May 22, 2026: In protest against the increasing incidents of violence, threats, and misinformation targeting doctors and healthcare workers, the management, doctors, and staff of Anil Baghi Hospital organized a peaceful solidarity march on Friday.

The march commenced at 10:00 AM from Anil Baghi Hospital and proceeded to Namdev Chowk, with large participation from doctors, consultants, nursing staff, paramedical staff, and other healthcare workers. Participants carried banners displaying slogans such as, “Violence Against Doctors is Violence Against Humanity,” while appealing to the public to maintain trust, peace, and respect in hospitals.
Prominent participants in the march included Dr. Kamal Baghi, Dr. Saurabh Baghi, Dr. Vaishali Baghi, Dr. Harsha Bhola, Dr. Ashwani Kalia, Dr. (Mrs.) Kalia, Dr. Baldev Raj, Dr. Anil Chopra, Dr. Vikas Arora, Dr. Dheer, and Dr. Asija.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Kamal Baghi said that doctors never intend to lose a patient and always use their best medical skills, experience, and sincere efforts to save lives. He stated that despite all possible treatment, some patients cannot survive due to the natural course of illness and the limitations of human life.

He expressed concern that in many unfortunate situations, relatives of patients resort to violence, aggression, and damage to hospital property without understanding that death is sometimes inevitable and beyond human control.
Dr. Baghi further remarked that there is no reverse process in biology and mankind ultimately has to bow before the laws of nature and the will of the Almighty. He emphasized that hospitals are not battlefields but places where doctors and healthcare workers work day and night to provide patients with a new lease on life through their dedicated service.

Dr. Saurabh Baghi said that the first priority of doctors is to provide the best possible treatment to every patient irrespective of caste, creed, or religion. He added that rumours and misinformation not only affect doctors but also weaken the entire healthcare system.
During the march, the protesters raised several key messages including: “Doctors’ Safety is Patients’ Safety”, “Save Doctors, Save Healthcare”, “Service Cannot Be Repaid With Violence”, “Respect for Doctors is Respect for Society”, and “Build Trust in Hospitals, Not Fear”.
The protesters demanded stronger legal protection for doctors, hospital staff, and medical institutions and urged society, the administration, and the media to work together in creating a safe and respectful environment for healthcare professionals serving humanity under stressful conditions.
The march concluded with an appeal for mutual trust, cooperation, and understanding between the public and the medical fraternity.
