Transfers: Two Punjab IAS Officers Transferred; B. Srinivasan Given Additional Charge of Mines & Geology

Chandigarh, June 30, 2026: The Punjab Government on Tuesday ordered the transfer and posting of two IAS officers with immediate effect.
According to the orders issued today B. Srinivasan, IAS (2011), who was serving as Managing Director, PUNSUP, has been appointed Managing Director, PUNSUP and, in addition, Director, Mines & Geology. He replaces Abhijeet Kaplish, IAS in the additional charge of the Mines & Geology Department.
Meanwhile, Abhijeet Kaplish, IAS (2015), who was serving as Director, Mines & Geology and also holding the additional charge of Chief Executive, Punjab Energy Development Agency (PEDA), has been relieved of the Mines & Geology assignment.
His services have been placed at the disposal of the Department of New and Renewable Energy Sources for his posting as Chief Executive, Punjab Energy Development Agency (PEDA) on a regular basis.
The Chief Secretary has directed both officers to assume charge of their new assignments immediately.
