MP Harbhajan Singh calls on Amit Shah, raises Punjab’s law and order, drug crisis

New Delhi, August 7, 2026: BJP Rajya Sabha MP and former Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh met Union Home Minister Amit Shah and held detailed discussions on key issues concerning Punjab.
During the meeting, Harbhajan Singh highlighted what he described as the deteriorating law and order situation in the state and expressed concern over the growing drug menace affecting Punjab. He stressed the need for effective measures to tackle these challenges.
Harbhajan Singh said Punjab requires a strong government that works in close coordination with the Centre to ensure the swift and long-term resolution of these issues.
He added that such cooperation is essential to restore peace, development and revive the vision of a prosperous and vibrant "Rangla Punjab."
