AAP faces setback in Rajasansi as Shiv Kumar resigns

Amritsar (Punjab), August 9, 2026: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has suffered another setback in the Rajasansi Assembly constituency, with Shiv Kumar resigning from his organisational positions as well as the party’s primary membership.
In a resignation letter addressed to Aman Arora, President, AAP Punjab, dated August 9, 2026, Shiv Kumar announced his resignation from the posts of District Joint Secretary, Amritsar, and Media Coordinator, Rajasansi, along with his primary membership of the party.
In the letter, Shiv Kumar thanked the party for the opportunity to serve and expressed gratitude for the support and cooperation he received during his tenure.
The resignation comes amid a series of developments within the AAP's Rajasansi unit. Another senior party leader, Dilbagh Singh Kohali, has also reportedly resigned from all party posts and primary membership, citing differences with the constituency in-charge
