Ludhiana (Punjab), April 23, 2025: Rajya Sabha MP Sanjeev Arora conducted a series of booth-level meetings across the Ludhiana (West) assembly constituency on Tuesday, visiting localities such as Valmiki Nagar and Punjab Mata Nagar.
Addressing residents, Arora stated that these meetings aim to establish direct contact with the public. He emphasized the importance of face-to-face interactions, noting that they offer him a valuable opportunity to engage with citizens and gather their feedback.
“People share important suggestions that help in further improving the city,” he said.
Arora added that he regularly forwards these suggestions to the concerned officials to ensure their implementation. At the meetings, he encouraged attendees to openly share their views and grievances.
“I've come to your doorsteps with the intention to resolve your issues,” he affirmed, stressing that open dialogue is essential for addressing public concerns.
Arora also presented an overview of his and the Punjab government's three-year performance, highlighting achievements under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann.
He criticized predecessor state governments for neglecting major infrastructure projects, stating that key initiatives like the Halwara Airport, the elevated road, four bridges on the Sidhwan Canal, relaying of roads in Focal point, and upgradation of ESI and Civil Hospitals had been stalled for nearly three decades.
He praised the pro-people policies of the present state government and spoke about the ongoing campaign against drug menace. Arora asserted that this drive would continue until the menace is completely eradicated, linking it to a rise in petty crimes such as theft and snatching. He urged party workers to actively promote government schemes and developmental efforts at the grassroots level.
Expressing confidence ahead of the upcoming by-poll, Arora said he believes the people of Ludhiana (West) will support him, considering the visible progress made in recent years.
He also condemned the recent terrorist attack on tourists in Pahalgam, which resulted in several casualties and injuries.
Calling the act "cowardly and inhumane," Arora extended his condolences to the victims and their families, stating that such violence is an assault on peace and humanity.
Municipal Councilor Indu Manish Shah, along with AAP leaders including District President Sharanpal Singh Makkar, Satwinder Singh Jawaddi, and Amrinderpal Singh Jawaddi, were also present at the event.
