Historic Step Upholding Sikh Faith and Tradition: Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal Bhukhri Kalan
Chandigarh 2 October 2025: National BJP Leader Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal Bhukhri Kalan has wholeheartedly welcomed the Government of India’s decision to grant permission for Sikh jathas to visit Pakistan for the sacred Parkash Purab of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji.
Grewal said that this noble step reflects not just an administrative approval but a heartfelt recognition of the Sikh community’s collective voice of faith. He noted that this decision is rooted in the values of respect, devotion and dignity, rather than political considerations.
He said that allowing the Sangat to bow their heads in reverence at Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s sacred sites is a matter of deep spiritual significance and upholding the dignity of centuries-old traditions. Grewal expressed that such gestures strengthen the spiritual bonds of the Sikh community across borders.
Grewal told that he extends his warm congratulations to the entire Nanak Naam Leva Sangat around the world. “It is your united voice of faith that has been honoured today. This decision reaffirms the Centre’s sensitivity towards the sentiments of the Sikh Panth,” he remarked.
He added that every step taken in devotion is a step towards peace, harmony and mutual respect. With humility, Grewal underlined the timeless message of Sarbat Da Bhala- the well-being of all as the guiding light for such decisions.
