Book Review Session held at DSCW on two books 'Personality Development' and 'Two Lives'

In this context, a book review session on two books ‘Personality Development’ and ‘Two Lives’ was held at Dev Samaj College for Women,
Dr. Manjot, Assistant Professor of the Post-Graduate Commerce Department, reviewed the book ‘Personality Development’ by Dr. M. Shobha Rani and M. Ratan Jyoti. Dr. Manjot highlighted the book as a comprehensive guide to understanding and improving one’s personality. It delves into the concepts, components, and influencing factors of personality and emphasizes practical exercises focused on emotional intelligence, communication skills, and relationship building. The book serves as a valuable resource for personal and professional growth, offering actionable strategies and techniques.
Dr. Geetanjali, Assistant Professor from the Post-Graduate Botany Department, reviewed "Two Lives" by Indian poet and novelist Vikram Seth. The book intertwines family history, social commentary, and historical context, portraying the complexities of a long-standing relationship between two individuals from different cultural backgrounds. It narrates the story of the author's great uncle, Shanti Behari Seth, and his German wife, Henny Caro, showcasing their enduring love despite numerous challenges. The session emphasized the book's rich historical details and insightful portrayal of the couple's life.
Principal Dr Sangeeta commended both Dr Manjot and Dr Geetanjali for their insightful reviews and encouraged faculty and students to read the reviewed books. She also congratulated the library department for successfully organizing the sessions.
