Babuhahi Bureau
Chandigarh, April 6, 2024: BJP's state president Jitendra Pal Malhotra said that from Atal Ji to JP Nadda Ji, 11 BJP presidents have been elected and all of them have reached this position not because of the nepotism of the Nehru-Gandhi clan, but by working day and night in the interest of the nation and the party.
This is the reason why the 140-year-old Congress is on the margins today and in a span of just 44 years, the BJP is firmly leading the country. Malhotra was addressing the workers after hoisting the flag at the party office on the foundation day of BJP on Saturday.
Congratulating the BJP workers on the foundation day, the state president said that after its establishment on 6 April 1980, the BJP got only two seats in the 1984 Lok Sabha elections. In the subsequent elections, the trend of increasing BJP seats continued and by 2019, these seats reached 303.
BJP is moving towards crossing 400 in the 2024 elections by becoming the country's largest political party in terms of seats in the Lok Sabha and the world's largest political party in terms of organizational strength. Malhotra said that this is not a miracle, but a reward for the service and penance of the BJP leadership from booth level to the top.
He said that the result of the hard work of BJP workers working among the people of the country is that the popularity of this party is constantly increasing. Not only the common people, but leaders of opposition parties are also competing to join the BJP.
In the recent past, prominent leaders of Congress, AAP and many other major parties have joined the BJP. This is the result of BJP's policies and the development and public welfare work of the 10-year government under the able leadership of Modi.
