AAP's false revolution slogans - a disgrace to martyrs, says Prof. Chandumajra
Parmod Bharti
Nawanshahr, May 11, 2024: Prof. Prem Singh Chandumajra, the Shiromani Akali Dal candidate for the Lok Sabha Constituency of Sri Anandpur Sahib, addressed election meetings in several villages including Kishanpura, Asmanpur, Rahon, and Nora within the Vidhan Sabha Constituency of Nawanshahr.
During these gatherings, Prof. Chandumajra vehemently criticized the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), accusing them of deceiving the people of Punjab with false promises to seize power.
In his address, Prof. Chandumajra denounced Chief Minister Mann's AAP government for allegedly insulting martyrs by raising false slogans of revolution in the name of Shaheed Bhagat Singh.
He emphasized the historical significance of Punjab as the land of Gurus, Pirs, and martyrs, asserting that the AAP's falsehoods would not endure in such sacred territory. Prof. Chandumajra vowed that the people of Doaba would seek retribution for the perceived disrespect towards the martyrs.
Highlighting the discontent among the populace, Prof. Chandumajra referenced incidents where Chief Minister Mann faced black flags during roadshows, purportedly indicative of widespread disillusionment. He further accused AAP candidates of resorting to violence instead of addressing concerns raised by villagers and city dwellers.
Turning to economic grievances, Prof. Chandumajra criticized the AAP government for allegedly reneging on promises of employment for the youth of Punjab.
He claimed that instead of prioritizing local candidates, the government had recruited a significant number of individuals from neighboring states, citing examples of recruitment in various departments.
Expressing astonishment, he highlighted instances where a substantial proportion of candidates from neighboring states secured positions over local applicants.
In a direct jab at the AAP's representation, Prof. Chandumajra condemned the party for allegedly favoring outsiders in parliamentary and job opportunities over Punjabi natives. He questioned the legitimacy of an AAP candidate from Sri Anandpur Sahib Constituency who is purportedly not even from Punjab.
The gathering saw the presence of notable figures including Constituency Incharge Jarnail Singh Wahad, Joint Constituency Incharge Tara Singh Sheikhupur, District President Sukhdeep Singh Sakar, and other senior Akali leadership and workers.
