Anil Vij files nomination from Ambala Cantt; holds road show

Chandigarh, September 11, 2024: Former Haryana Home and Health Minister Anil Vij filed his nomination papers today from the Ambala Cantt Assembly Constituency. Before the nomination, the BJP leader also held a road show in Ambala Cantt.
As the roadshow passed through the markets of Ambala Cantt, the former minister was enthusiastically welcomed with flower showers by the general public, elderly citizens, women, shopkeepers, and market associations.
On this occasion, Anil Vij remarked, “The enthusiasm we witnessed today shows that this time the public will secure a much bigger victory than before.”
Notably, the overwhelming crowd and enthusiasm shown by the people during the roadshow have already indicated his victory. Before the roadshow, a prayer ritual was held at Anil Vij's residence in Shastri Colony, following which he reached Gandhi Ground amid thousands of supporters.
He received a grand welcome with drums and music and as soon as he arrived at Gandhi Ground, the roadshow began. The Road Show moved through Jagadhri Road, Nicholson Road, Sadar Chowk, DC Road, Vijay Rattan Chowk, Railway Road, and Football Chowk, concluding at Agrawal Dharamshala.
After the roadshow, former Minister Anil Vij reached the Mini Secretariat on Staff Road, where he submitted his nomination papers to the returning officer.
Excitement among workers despite the sweltering heat
The BJP workers were brimming with excitement during the nomination roadshow of former Minister Anil Vij. Holding BJP flags, they chanted slogans like “Anil Vij Zindabad,” “Vote for the name, Vote for the work,” “We've worked, and we'll continue to work.” Hundreds of women supporters also led the roadshow, shouting slogans while holding BJP umbrellas, creating a strong BJP presence. Hundreds of young supporters on bikes participated in the show, followed by a long convoy of vehicles.

Speaking to the media persons, Former Home Minister Anil Vij said that the people of Ambala Cantt are very wise and have thoughtfully elected a simple man like him six times. He added that the enthusiasm witnessed on nomination day indicates that the people will ensure an even bigger victory this time.
When asked about Congress not yet releasing its candidate list, Anil Vij responded that the Congress is a group of factions, and since the election commission announced the elections, a battle for supremacy has been ongoing within the party. The public knows where this infighting will lead.
At the nomination roadshow, thousands of BJP workers were present, including party leaders such as Jasbir Singh Jassi, Lalit Chaudhary, Om Sehgal, Som Chopra, Sanjeev Soni, Kiranpal Chauhan, Vijender Chauhan, Kapil Vij, Rajendra Vij, Shubham Vij, BS Bindra , Narendra Rana, Ram Babu Yadav, Fakirchand Saini, Shyam Sundar Arora, Ajay Baveja, Sudarshan Singh Sehgal, Puneet Sarpal, Balkesh Vats, Ashish Agarwal, Sanjeev Walia, Shailendra Khanna Shaili, Lucky Sehgal, Happy Dheer, Iqbal Dhanda, Vijay Kumar, Ravi Jaat, Pushpa Vaish, Veena Sharma, Ren Bhambhar and many more.
