Polling booths " Bravery and Valour" at native village of Brigadier Kuldip Singh Chandpuri in Balachaur

Nawanshahr May 30, 2024: Deputy Commissioner cum District Electoral Officer, SBS Nagar,Navjot Pal Singh Randhawa has come out with a pathbreaking innovative idea of mobilising voters to cast their votes on the polling day as well as to commemorate the great contribution of " Indian Army 23 Batallion Punjab Regiment" on battlefield at Longewala, Jaisalmer under the leadership of Brigadier Chandpuri.
The Deputy Commissioner,Navjot Pal Singh Randhawa has set up two unique polling booths at village Chandpuri Rurki, native village of Brigadier Chandpuri,MVC.
The booths christened as " Bravery and Valour" dedicated to Brigadier Kuldip Singh Chandpuri.
The polling booths have been tastefully decorated to create the scenes of battle fields such as military vehicles, canopies, bunkers etc. The polling booths would be manned by polling staff attired in Military uniforms would man. Besides, volunteers attired in military dress would be available at the polling booths to facilitate voters.
Today, Deputy Commissioner,Randhawa accompanied by Balachaur SDM,Ravinder Kumar Bansal visited the polling booths at village Chandpuri Rurki.
The DC appreciated the dedicated efforts of Brigadier Lakhbir Singh Bajwa ( Lamrin Tech Skill University,Rail Majra) and his team for setting up the unique polling booths.
