Women & men protesters to wear turbans on 'Pagdi Sambhal' Day: Kisan Morcha
New Delhi, February 20, 2021: The protesting farmers both men and women will wear multi-colored turbans on ‘Pagdi Sambhal’ Day to be observed on February 23, 2021, shared Bhartiya Kisan Morcha.
The farmer leaders have requested to all women and male protesters to celebrate this day by wearing a turban of any colour to assert self-respect.
Haryana Agriculture Minister JP Dalal, who hurt the self-esteem of farmers, is being strongly opposed in different places. On 23 February, on 'Pagdi Sambhal Day' a big mahapanchayat is being organized in Bhiwani against JP Dalal's inhuman statements.
“To strengthen the farmers' movement, the series of Kisan Mahapanchayats is taking place throughout the country. Today a huge gathering was organized in Chandigarh with huge support from the people of Chandigarh Urban area. In Rajasthan, huge gatherings were held at Raisingh Nagar on 18 and Hanumangarh on 19, in which the leaders of the Samyukta Kisan Morcha addressed. Under the leadership of All India Kisan Mazdoor Sabha, a big rally was organised on 18 February in Suryapet of Telangana against the agricultural laws. Similarly, a mahapanchayat was held in Hisar on 19 February. Apart from farmers, other citizens also assured to come to Delhi Boarders in upcoming days,” shared farmer leader Dr Darshan Pal.
A Youth-Farmers' Rally was taken out on the Ghazipur border to protest against the mysterious death of Dalit women in Unnao and to demand a fair high-level judicial inquiry.
Arrests were made during the rail roko programs in several districts in Madhya Pradesh. 50 activists were arrested in Gwalior and 47 were arrested in Riva. At night, the tents and all the belongings were seized from Phulbagh dharna, where a permanent strike had been going on for 57 days, against which the dharna was held at the office of Superintendent of Police, Gwalior. The arrested activists were then released from jail.
“The central government gives lower MSP by wrong calculations of inputs and now due to rising fuel prices, input costs have also increased. Along with farmers, ordinary citizens of the country will also suffer huge losses due to the rising prices of petrol, diesel and gas. People are protesting all over the country against rising prices. AIKKMS protested against rising petrol prices in Jhajjar and Rewari of Haryana, in which a large number of people participated,” Darshan Pal added.

Government wants to threaten the farmers by putting false cases against them. Now a permanent strike has been started again. In Chhatarpur, farmers who are protesting for 32 days are getting sick due to non - cooperation by the administration.
Farmers warned the government that despite the Mandsaur incident, the spirits of the farmers was not broken, similarly, this movement will continue.
