Haryana Cop Kaushal Kumar dies at Shambu border
- Fell ill while on duty, doctors declared him dead after being taken to hospital

Chandigarh, February 20, 2024: Another policeman, ESI Kaushal Kumar, posted at the Shambhu border in the farmers' movement, died today.
Kaushal Kumar's health suddenly deteriorated today while on duty, after which he was immediately taken to Ambala Civil Hospital where doctors declared him dead. Director General of Police Shatrujit Kapoor expressed grief over his death and prayed to God for the repose of his soul.
According to the report, the duty of ESI Kaushal Kumar was imposed under the bridge near the Ghaggar river during the farmers' movement. He was 56 years old. He was a resident of village Kanjiwas in Yamunanagar district and was working as an ESI at police station Chappar.
There is an atmosphere of mourning among the Haryana Police and his family due to the news of his death. Shri Kaushal Kumar always performed his duty with full seriousness and dedication.
He was a source of inspiration for his fellow policemen. During his service, he did many commendable and exemplary works. His sudden demise is an irreparable loss for Haryana Police and a reminder of the sacrifices made by our security personnel. It is noteworthy that on February 16, GRP Sub-Inspector Hiralal, posted at the Shambhu border, also died suddenly due to ill health.
This is the second policeman of the Haryana Police who died while on duty at the Shambhu border during the farmers' movement. The death of these two policemen is very sad for Haryana Police.
