Mohali, March 25, 2025: To mark the martyrdom day of Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Rajguru, and Sukhdev, the Vicky Middukhera Foundation, led by Foundation’s President Ajaypal Singh Middukhera, elder brother of student leader Late Vicky Middukhera, organized a special programme here. The activity featured a ‘Books’ Langar’ by the Foundation. Books based on Shaheed Bhagat Singh’s nationalistic ideology – mainly Sardar Bhagat Singh’s biography and his ‘Jail Diary’ were distributed to youngsters free of cost. The idea was to inspire youth to follow the ideals of Shaheed Bhagat Singh and to underscore the importance of feelings of patriotism and nationalism among the youth.
While addressing the gathering, Ajaypal Singh Middukhera, said, “The youth has always been energetic. This energy should be directed towards the progress of the country. Youth must stay away from drugs and violence and strive to adopt the principles of Shaheed Bhagat Singh.”
The Foundation also announced its plans to intensify its Anti-Drugs Campaign. The Foundation’s team will also visit various drug rehabilitation centres to assess the needs of the patients. This will help the Foundation understand how best to support these centres, including providing counsellors, mental health care, and other essential services to assist in the rehabilitation process.
Additionally, the Foundation announced that it will launch a cleanliness drive in Mohali in the near future to promote social responsibility. The cleanliness initiative and other social efforts will continue to encourage civic responsibility.
Vicky Middukhera Foundation’s initiative not only paid tribute to the martyrs and boosted patriotism among the younger generation but also served as a significant step towards bringing about social change.
