29 women trained under DDU-GKY secure jobs in Bengaluru, marking a milestone in empowerment
Ferozepur, March 25, 2025: In a remarkable step toward women’s empowerment, 29 female candidates trained under the Assistant Fashion Designer Course through the Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDU-GKY) and have successfully secured placements at Shahi Exports Pvt. Ltd., Bengaluru. The initiative was implemented by the Punjab Skill Development Mission (PSDM) and executed by CH HDS Educational & Welfare Society.
The training program equipped these women with industry-relevant skills, paving the way for financial independence and career growth. Their flag-off ceremony was led by Additional Deputy Commissioner (RD), Harjinder Singh Ferozepur, in the presence of DPMU/DBEE Ferozepur, Centre Incharge Anuj Kakkar, Trainer Vikas Kumar, and Sudesh Kumari.
This achievement underscores the impact of DDU-GKY in fostering skill development and creating employment opportunities for women. It serves as an inspiration for young women to pursue career-oriented training programs, reinforcing the mission of inclusive economic growth.
