Punjab Governor releases pictorial Calendar 2026 showcasing State’s Culture, Heritage and Natural Beauty

Chandigarh, December 31, 2025: Punjab Governor Gulab Chand Kataria on Tuesday released the pictorial Calendar 2026 for the State of Punjab, themed “Punjab: Where Culture, Heritage & Nature Breathes,” at Punjab Lok Bhavan here. The calendar has been meticulously conceptualised and compiled by State Information Commissioner, Punjab, Harpreet Sandhu.
The calendar offers a rich visual narrative of Punjab’s vibrant cultural traditions, sacred religious heritage, strong agricultural ethos, and pristine natural landscapes, presenting the essence of the state through evocative imagery.
While releasing the calendar, Governor Kataria appreciated the efforts of State Information Commissioner Harpreet Sandhu for undertaking this significant initiative to promote Punjab. He said the calendar would help create cultural awareness, strengthen people’s bond with their heritage, and project Punjab’s unique identity on a wider platform throughout 2026.
Addressing the gathering, Harpreet Sandhu said the Calendar 2026 has been compiled with the objective of inspiring citizens, visitors, and especially the youth to reconnect with Punjab’s glorious legacy and to recognise the state’s enduring relationship with nature and agriculture.
Curated under the patronage of the Governor of Punjab, each month of the calendar reflects a harmonious blend of art, heritage, agriculture, spirituality, and natural serenity. The calendar also carries a meaningful message from the Governor of Punjab.
Notably, the Vice Chancellors of Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar; Punjab Agricultural University; Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Ludhiana; and Punjabi University, Patiala, have endorsed the initiative, symbolically reaffirming their commitment to celebrating, preserving, and promoting Punjab’s cultural, natural, and spiritual heritage.
