Firozpur Foundation fulfills promise; Empowers young minds at Govt Primary School with educational support
Ferozepur, May 27, 2025: In a touching display of commitment to community service, the Firozpur Foundation, started in July 2019—originally known for its ‘langar sewa’—continues to expand its impact in the fields of education and emergency relief during crises such as floods, the Covid-19 pandemic, and other natural calamities.
As part of its ongoing efforts to support education and inspire young minds, a dedicated team of volunteers led by Shalinder Kumar (popularly known as Babla), founder Firozpur Foundation, along with Muneesh Sachdeva, Rajinder Oberoi, Deepak Sharma, and Pawan Gupta, visited Government Primary Smart School in Jhugge Kesar Singh, Block 2, Ferozepur. The team distributed 48 school bags, notebooks, and water bottles to students, based on their individual needs.
This initiative was a follow-up to a promise made during last year’s visit, when the same students had received stationery supplies. At that time, the volunteers had assured the children that they would return if the students showed dedication and achieved good academic results.
True to their word, the volunteers returned this year and were delighted to witness the students’ noticeable improvement and enthusiasm for learning. The gesture not only provided essential school supplies but also served as a strong motivational boost, reinforcing the message that hard work and sincerity are always recognised and rewarded.
The event was graced by Head Teacher Sandeep Tandon and staff members Pooja, Neeru, Shivali Monga, and Aprajita Setia, who expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Foundation for its generous support of underprivileged students.
This initiative stands as a testament to the power of community-driven efforts and how small acts of kindness can lead to significant and lasting change.
