Bathinda: 1,160 youth trained in skill development; 2,335 shortlisted for jobs

Bathinda (Punjab), July 9, 2025: In a significant push towards youth empowerment, the District Employment and Entrepreneurship Bureau (DBEE), Bathinda, has successfully provided skill training to 1,160 aspirants under various government schemes between January and June 2025, informed Deputy Commissioner-cum-DBEE Chairman Shaukat Ahmed Pare.
Highlighting the district’s employment efforts, the Deputy Commissioner shared that 23 placement camps were organized during this period, with the participation of 128 employers, resulting in the shortlisting of 2,335 candidates for various job roles.
In addition to job placements, the DBEE also focused on skill-building.A total of 47 skill development camps were conducted, helping youth prepare for both employment and self-employment opportunities.
The Deputy Commissioner further stated that the bureau registered 677 job seekers manually, while 2,477 applicants were registered online on the employment portal.
All these individuals were made aware of different government schemes and support initiatives aimed at enhancing employability and entrepreneurship.
The administration reaffirmed its commitment to continue strengthening such initiatives to ensure more youth in the region become economically independent and professionally equipped.
