Over 9,000 people benefiting from 311 Free Yoga Classes under CM Di Yogshala in Ferozepur
Ferozepur, July 28, 2025: The Punjab Government's ambitious initiative, CM Di Yogshala, launched to promote physical and mental wellness, is witnessing overwhelming participation in the Ferozepur district. Since its statewide rollout in October 2023, the program has established 311 free yoga classes across the district, engaging more than 9,000 people daily in guided yoga sessions.
Providing this information, District Coordinator of the project, Madam Amanpreet Kaur, said the initiative is significantly contributing to Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann’s vision of a healthier Punjab. She added that yoga sessions are being conducted every morning and evening in urban and rural areas of Ferozepur, Guru Har Sahai, Zira, and Makhu.
The sessions are free of cost and led by 90 trained yoga instructors appointed by the state government. Besides guiding participants through yoga exercises, trainers also raise awareness about its health benefits and promote balanced lifestyles and nutritious diets.
People from all walks of life—children, youth, women, and the elderly—are actively participating.
