Arvind Kejriwal is Not a Leader but a “Vasooli Bhai”; Punjabis Must Beware of His False Promises and Political Deception: Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal
Ludhiana (Shimlapuri), 6 June 2026: Today, during a workers’ meeting in the Ludhiana South Legislative Assembly Constituency, National BJP leader and Advocate Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal said that the people of Punjab must remain extremely vigilant and should not once again become victims of the misleading promises, emotional drama and deceptive politics of Aam Aadmi Party supremo Arvind Kejriwal.
He said that during the COVID-19 period, several private schools in Delhi had announced fee waivers and temporary relief measures for parents who were struggling financially. However, once the pandemic ended, those very schools recovered the entire amount from parents in the form of arrears and additional charges, exposing the reality behind the much-publicised claims of the Kejriwal government.
Grewal said that Arvind Kejriwal has mastered the art of making attractive announcements in front of cameras and microphones, but the burden of those announcements ultimately falls on ordinary citizens. He stated that Kejriwal is not a leader but a “Vasooli Bhai”, whose politics revolves around publicity, deception and eventual recovery from the common people.
Grewal said that the people of Punjab should carefully examine the Delhi model before getting carried away by slogans and hollow speeches. He said that the same pattern witnessed in Delhi could be repeated in Punjab if Arvind Kejriwal and his party are given another opportunity to mislead the public.
He further said that Punjabis are brave, wise and politically aware people who cannot be fooled forever by advertisements and manufactured narratives. Punjab has already suffered enough due to the incompetence, arrogance, and misplaced priorities of the Aam Aadmi Party government.
Grewal said that Kejriwal’s politics is based on creating illusions, making unrealistic promises, and later shifting the burden onto the shoulders of ordinary families. He said that the people must understand that freebies and flashy announcements are not acts of generosity but political investments that are often recovered from the public in one form or another.
He said that his humble and sincere appeal to the people of Punjab is not to fall into the trap of false promises and emotional rhetoric. If Arvind Kejriwal and his associates are allowed to continue or return to power with greater strength, Punjab may witness the same cycle of announcements followed by recoveries, additional charges, and economic burdens on common citizens.
Grewal said that Punjab deserves honest governance, transparency, accountability, and policies that genuinely empower people rather than exploiting them for political mileage. He asserted that the people of Punjab must reject politics based on deception and stand firmly for truth, responsibility and the long-term interests of the state and the nation.
