Ludhiana (Shimlapuri), 26 May 2026: Senior BJP leader, Advocate Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal expressed profound grief and deep emotional pain over the sudden and heartbreaking demise of renowned educationist and Managing Director of Sigma Group of Colleges Dr. Chander Bhanot Ji. Remembering him not merely as a friend but as a brother-like companion of the heart, Grewal said that the passing away of Dr. Chander Bhanot Ji has created an irreplaceable void not only in the field of education but also in the lives of countless people whose hearts and destinies were touched by his kindness wisdom humanity simplicity and unconditional love.
Today talking with media persons at Dr. Chander Banot residence in mohalla Shimlapuri area of the Ludhiana South Legislative Assembly Constituency (Ludhiana South Vidhan Sabha Halka) Grewal said that some people are remembered because of their wealth some because of their power and some because of their achievements, but Dr. Chander Bhanot Ji will forever be remembered because he was a truly beautiful soul whose heart always beat for others. He said that Dr. Chander Bhanot Ji was not merely an educationist or administrator running an institution, rather he himself was an emotion a feeling and a source of hope for thousands of families and students.
He said that with the untimely demise of Dr. Chander Bhanot Ji it feels as if an entire era of selfless service humility compassion and noble thinking has suddenly come to an end. Grewal stated that Chander Bhanot Ji possessed a rare magnetic personality and whoever met him once became his own forever. His simplicity warmth affection and ability to connect hearts made him loved by every section of society. Whether it was children youth elders students or struggling families every person found comfort guidance and love in his presence.
Grewal told that Dr. Chander Bhanot Ji always believed that education was not a business but a sacred mission to shape society and guide the younger generation towards discipline morality values and humanity. Through Sigma Group of Colleges he transformed the dreams of countless students into reality and became a pillar of hope for innumerable families. Thousands of students considered him not just an administrator but a mentor motivator guide and a fatherly figure who encouraged them during their most difficult times.
Grewal said that despite earning immense respect success and recognition Dr. Chander Bhanot Ji always remained humble respectful and grounded. Elders respected him deeply because even after achieving great heights he always bowed his head with humility before seniors and treated everyone with love and dignity. Though young in age he possessed extraordinary wisdom maturity foresight and understanding. Honesty truthfulness decency and sincerity reflected in every word he spoke and every responsibility he carried.
He further said that Chander Bhanot Ji could never tolerate the pain of another human being. Helping the needy supporting struggling families encouraging disappointed youth and standing beside people during difficult moments was not an occasional act for him but his natural way of life. He never publicized his good deeds because his service came from the heart and not for recognition or publicity. In today’s selfish world he stood as a living example of selfless love humanity respect and compassion.
Remembering his beloved friend with tearful eyes and a heavy heart, Advocate Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal Bhukhri Kalan emotionally said, “Dr. Chander Bhanot Ji was not only my friend, he was my brother my strength and a part of my soul. For nearly three decades we stood shoulder to shoulder in every happiness every struggle every success and every painful moment of life. Our families were connected not merely through friendship but through deep love trust affection and emotional bonds. Today it feels as if the most precious jewel of our family has broken away leaving all of us shattered and crying.”
Grewal further said with deep emotion, “My dear friend… where do we search for you now… at which door do we go to hear your voice again… on which road do we stand waiting for your smile and presence. Your absence has wounded our hearts so deeply that this pain can never heal. You have left all of us alive yet broken from within.”
He said that the departure of Dr. Chander Bhanot Ji has not only devastated his family relatives and close friends but has deeply shaken the entire educational and social fraternity of Punjab. Ludhiana and surrounding regions today are mourning not merely the loss of an educationist but the loss of a noble soul who spread love humanity positivity and goodness everywhere he went.
Grewal stated that Dr. Chander Bhanot Ji was the pride of his respected parents Shri Satpal Bhanot Ji and Smt. Kanta Bhanot Ji a loving life partner for Smt. Manju Bhanot Ji a source of strength and unity for his brothers Love Kumar Bhanot, Senior Advocate, Tajinder Bhanot Jagjeevan Bhanot and Fakir Chand Bhanot Ji and an inspiring guiding light for his sons Saurav Bhanot Karan Bhanot Sushil Bhanot Nitin Bhanot and Chetan Bhanot. He also informed that the Shri Garud Puran Path Bhog and Rasam Pagri for the eternal peace of the departed soul of Dr. Chander Bhanot Ji will be held on Thursday 28 May 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM at Shri Nav Durga Mandir First Floor Sarabha Nagar Ludhiana.
